Repairing broken tracktion wheel ROCO 63490 train

Posted on 2024-11-082026-01-30 by rmolins

This locomotive has around 20 years and has been stored for around 13 years. After unboxing it was working but after some heavy use with the ROCO cleaning wagon the traction wheel rubber broke.

The steps to fix this should be simple. However, removing the wheel base was not straightforward. To remove the wheelbase unclick the red plastic clip.

At this points wheels can be removed and the tyre can be replaced.
